02:43:00 Nandan Bhalwankar 1 Comments

Happy New Year to all my friends....May Bapu Aai Dada bless you !!!

Indian Army : Vijay Diwas(विजय दिवस) celebrations at Shivaji Park

05:56:00 Nandan Bhalwankar 0 Comments

(Victory Day) is also commemorated every 16 December in India as it marks its military victory over Pakistan in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, who were alliance of Bangladesh Mukti Bahini . The end of the war also resulted in the unilateral and unconditional surrender of the Pakistan Army and subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh. On this day in 1971, the chief of the Pakistani forces, General Amir Aabdullah Khan Niazi, along with 93,000 troops, surrendered to the allied forces consists of Indian Army and Mukti Bahini, led by General Jagjit Singh Aurora, of India in the Ramna Race Course, now Suhrawardy Udyan, in Dhaka after their defeat in the war.

The Indian Army celebrated 'Vijay Diwas' at the Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday, December 16 to commemorate its military victory over Pakistan in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Army personnel from across the state participated in the programme, which was held at the Shivaji Park grounds.

It was really a great thing to look at the at motor cycle display by Army, sky-diving, and aero-modelling display....In short it was a great day indeed and felt me proud watching the scene, our jawans (army) and the complete atmosphere....

This reminds me about the Third World War (http://www.worldwarthird.com/) .....written by Dr. Aniruddha Dhairyadhar Joshi, M.D.(Medicine) and Consulting Rheumatologist. The excerpts of it can be read at: http://www.worldwarthird.com/htm/excerpts.htm. A must read book for everybody....

Hearsch Bakery

05:22:00 Nandan Bhalwankar 0 Comments
